Doug Williams is a name synonymous with professional wrestling across the United Kingdom. A veteran of the independent scene on a global scale, Williams first brought his wealth of experience to PCW for Supershow 2 – No Retreat, No Surrender in the spring of 2013.
Due to his vast experience and skills, Doug was granted a PCW Heavyweight Championship match on his debut night with the company. Realising that you only have one chance to make a first impression, Williams defeated the champion T-Bone to add PCW's top prize to his resume alongside his myriad of other championships including the ROH Pure title, TNA Television title, TNA X-Division title, TNA World Tag Team title, IWGP Tag Team Title and GHC Tag Team title.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Williams defended his championship at the two remaining shows that weekend as well. First he would go to a 15 minute time limit draw with Noam Dar to retain the gold and then successfully defeat Joey Hayes later the same day.
After a stalemate at No Retreat, No Surrender, Dar and Williams were placed in a 60 minute Ironman match for the PCW Heavyweight Championship at the 2nd anniversary show, Too Good To Be Two in August. Unfortunately for Noam, a shoulder injury would prevent the match from taking place and El Ligero would instead challenge Doug for his championship. After an hour of blistering action, Williams would retain again.
“The Anarchist” mistakenly thought his night was over when Lionheart rushed the ring with a contract in hand for a PCW Heavyweight Championship match any time of his choosing. And “his choosing” was now. Williams managed to shake off the initial pinfall attempt but was fighting a losing battle. In a matter of seconds, his reign was over.
Williams regained his momentum after the loss with wins over Noam Dar, Johnny Moss and Uhaa Nation leading up to the end of the year. He has yet to compete in PCW in 2014.
The former PCW Champion returned to the promotion in January 2015 for Shooting Star. Williams teamed with Andy Wild against the team of Kid Fite and CJ Banks and led the team to victory when he pinned CJ Banks with his patented Chaos Theory.
